Nursery Worker & Retail Associate

These folks are involved in growing, watering, weeding, displaying, and selling everything from shade & fruit trees to flowering annuals & our organically grown vegetable & herb seedlings.

A successful nursery worker & retail associate loves dirt, sun, plants, people, and manual labor. She or he is conscientious, mature, & detail-oriented; has sales experience; and is willing to do a wide variety of tasks to meet the demands of a small, independent business. Previous growing experience is a plus!

Reliable transportation, punctuality, the ability to lift 40-50lbs. safely, and excellent communication & customer service skills are definite musts.

Desired Start & End Dates:

Mid-March through Mid-October (weekend availability required; start-end dates flexible for the right candidate)

Landscape Crew Member

These folks install & maintain plantings at our clients’ homes & businesses as well as at our own retail location. When they are not on landscape jobs, these individuals assist nursery workers & management to complete a wide range of growing tasks at the nursery.

A successful crew member is a hard worker, can lift 70-80lbs. safely, knows or is willing to learn the difference between a shrub & a perennial, and can correctly carry out detailed instructions from her or his crew leader.

Previous hardscaping, planting, or maintenance experience is preferred, as is the ability to work in the heat, cold, and rain without losing one’s cool! 

Reliable transportation, punctuality, excellent communication skills, and professional attitude while representing the company off-site are definite musts.
